Paris ground out a stunning 74-85 win at Barcelona as the visitors outscored the Spanish giant 12-28 in the third quarter and kept their composure in the fourth to wipe out a 43-39 first-half deficit, making the most of the absence of Barcelona’s Kevin Punter and Tomas Satoransky. The home team shot a miserable 5-of-32 from deep and Paris took advantage as the French side sank 11-of-30 from downtown, with Nadir Hifi leading the charge on 21 points.
Justin Robinson added 18 and Lamar Stevens chipped in with 15 for Paris, which prevailed despite committing 15 turnovers against just 11 assists. Barcelona racked up 39 rebounds and 13 on offense, but to little effect as the hosts also committed 13 turnovers and shot a rather modest 22-of-37 from inside. Dario Brizuela paced Barca on 15 points while Toko Shengelia and Nicolas Laprovittola netted 11 each, but Barcelona trailed throughout the second half and dropped to 17-11 while Paris improved to 9-18, inflicting a potentially damaging defeat on its rival.
