P.J. Tucker—a reigning NBA champion, the league’s Sneaker King and an avid art collector—celebrated his recent move to the Miami Heat with his very own exhibit at the world-famous Art Basel.
CloseUp360, VGI Consulting and Crep Protect co-hosted the “P.J. Pop-Up” experience in the Wynwood arts district of Miami, which featured a fan event at Grails Restaurant & Bar. More than 100 attendees stopped by to meet the man himself and see his curated kicks gallery, which featured 12 pairs of P.J.’s game-worn sneakers. The event also showcased his TMPLS & BRDGS eyewear line displayed by brand founder Tito Riveros; customized Basel shirts with P.J.’s logo made by Miami’s The Edition Boutique; and local artist Surge painting a pair of Air Jordan 11 Cool Greys as a gift for P.J., with designs representing his global career, championship season and three children. The night ended with a VIP dinner at Spanglish Craft Cocktail Bar + Kitchen for P.J. and his 12 guests, including Heat assistant coach and NBA champion Caron Butler.
